I'm not sure how anyone with young children living in their home can claim 100% house beautiful 24/7. It's just not possible. I am constantly picking up dirty socks, half eaten bowls of goldfish, yesterday's chocolate milk sippy cup, crayons, piles of books....you get the drill. Not to mention the busy lifestyle where you throw dinner in the crockpot, see your spouse in passing and shuttle you and your daughter off to dance class...well that's our day in a nutshell how about you? I decided today that even though there are little messes lying around the house, I can still create some organization here and there to let a little beauty in. I'm ready for a little beautification. It doesn't have to be all the time. It can't be, but I have a goal of once a week creating something that either organizes or beautifies. Once a week at the least, once a day at the most. There now! That gives a stay-at-home-working mama some leeway. What's that? You can't be a stay at home and working mama at the same time? Sure you can! I'm home all day and when the daddy gets home, 3 nights a week, I go teach dance(oh and I happen to own the place hee hee).
So I started today. I now have a cleaned out, better organized silverware drawer. I threw all those old baby plastic-ware that Laney refuses to use anymore in the recycle bin. It gave us more space for small measuring cups and measuring spoons. I scrubbed out the bottom of the drawer before putting everything neatly back in(and realized that a cute new silverware tray would be nice-maybe next week's Target trip:). Wahlah! 5 minutes tops and totally doable! Stay tuned for more. I'd love to hear your quick organization/beautification ideas as well! Won't you join me fellow mamas?!!
